The new TD Ameritrade Headquarters project in the Old Mill area of Omaha has created a very exciting opportunity for Local 22 and miller Electric. The new headquarters will feature some of the most advanced technology available in communcations and data processing and is on track to receive the LEED Platinum award. LEED Platinum is the highest achievement level for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council. The project is on a demanding construction schedule, so utilizing the Code of Excellence program for productivity and accountability makes perfect sense.

At its completion, the TD Ameritrade Headquarters will have over 500 miles of electrical conductor and over 700 miles of copper and fiber optic cabling. The project will be completed with an estimated 205,000 man hours of work.

Miller Electric Field Superintendent Jim Corcoran said, "The Code of Excellence program makes each employee accountable for his or her actions and more aware of the customer's needs. THe men actuall hold each other accountable to the program guidelines." This accountability is part of what makes the Code of Excellence program such a great success.
