Mammel Hall is a state of the art educational facility for UNO's College of Business Administration. Construction began in August 2008 and was completed in 2009. Due to the complexity of the electrical integration, Mammel Hall was designated as a Code of Excellence project early on. The new faciliyt was the first LEadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified building on the UNO campus and one of only four across the University of Nebraska system.

To maintain compliance with the LEED award, the building features multi-calibrated zoned daylight sensors that control long-life induction downlights in the atrium ceiling. There are also numerous control systems for data, other lighting, air handling, and security. The communications system features touch-screen digital data displays that showcase building information in real time. The new building is a terrific example of a foward thinking design approach combied with the talent and dedication of the men and women of IBEW Local 22.
