IBEW Founders Scholarship

- $200 per credit hour up to $24,000 for secondary or post-secondary education
Union Plus Scholarship
- Application Deadline: January 31, 2026
- Award Date: May 31, 2026
- $500-$4,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Current and retired union members participating in any Union Plus program, their spouses, and their dependent children (as defined by the IRS regulations) are eligible. Grandchildren are not eligible unless they are legal dependents (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse, or parent (if the applicant is dependent). The one-year membership minimum must be satisfied by May 31, 2026.
- Members of participating unions from the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada.
- When the award is issued, the applicant must be accepted into a U.S.-accredited college, university, community college, technical, or trade school. The award must be used for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply.
Mac Donald "Mac" Smith Scholarship

- $1,000 Scholarship
Eligibility and Criteria
- Eligible applicants are the immediate family members (children/grandchildren, stepchildren/grandchildren, foster children/grandchildren, spouses) of individuals who are members in good standing of a recognized labor union.
- The scholarship is open to those pursuing post-secondary education, such as at a community college, college, university, trade school, apprenticeship school, etc.
